...and just like that, our littlest sweet baby is 1 month old.

Actually, she's 1.5 months old at this point, but let's just pretend I was on time with this blog post ;)

Baby A {1 Month}

1 month old baby photo ideas; monthly baby photos

Baby Girl had a jam-packed, very exciting first month of life! She met lots of family and had a wonderful time getting comfy in her new life with Mommy, Daddy, and big sis!

{Stats}
Weight: At 2 weeks old, she was 7 lbs, 3oz, which she surpassed her birth weight of 6 lbs, 8 oz, by a few :) I can already tell she is not going to be in the 5th-20th percentile like E always was. Or at least I don't think so!
Height: 21" (19.5" at birth)

We did not have a checkup at 1 month so we're going off the 2 week stats :)

She still has blue eyes and dimples -- and is simply beautiful!

{Eating & Sleeping}

Baby A took to nursing a bit better than E did in the beginning and she's doing great with it. It took E a few months before we had our latch just right, but Baby A knew what she was doing from the moment she was born and was ready to eat right away! Now, she eats about 7-8 times a day.

And her sleeping is nothing to complain about. She wakes up once or twice per night to eat. In the first 2 or so weeks, it was a struggle just to wake her up to eat! She'll eat around 10-11pm, and then wake up around 4am to eat. Sometimes there is a waking in between, but that's hit or miss. Of course, I hope this pattern continues...cause it is wonderful for all of us.

Baby A at just 4 days new! She's already lost some of this hair.

We've been working on a schedule that works best for all of us, and so far both of our girls are doing great! We eat dinner around 6:30, I give both girls a bath around 7 and then we all put E to bed at 7:30. Some nights Daddy is home to help and of course the nights he's working, I am on my own! But we manage ;)

This is usually how it goes! I lay on the other side of Baby A to nurse her while reading a book to E, and shortly after, peace and quiettt! Note the 'usually.' As in, it doesn't ALWAYS go this smooth!

{What We've Done & Where We've Been}

In just her second week of life, Baby A took a day trip to St. Augustine to explore, and even an overnight trip at a beautiful resort on the beach in Palm Coast.

We've taken lots of walks around the neighborhood and trips to local restaurants and stores. Baby girl LOVES being in our Solly Wrap (which I highly recommend and will discuss in a future post!

We've had lazy days and cuddle days, play dates with friends, and football days to root on our Noles!

She went to her first pumpkin patch, and celebrated her first Halloween as the sweetest little Minnie Mouse!

Yes, it's been a jam-packed first month!!

{Misc.}

E took to being a big sister wonderfully. She learned to say her name right away, and loves singing 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star' to Baby A. She is so in love with her and helps me a ton. Between getting diapers, wipes, throwing things away for me, singing to her sister, patting her nicely and telling her 'it's okay! it's okay!' (even if it is in the loudest voice possible!) and always letting me know when she is 'CRYING!' as if I can't hear it myself ;) She is sure to let every single person we meet or comes over know that she has a new baby sister, and won't stop until they acknowledge that. Ha, she is an amazing big sister. They are very lucky to have each other.

The first month with my little punkin' has truly been a blessing and I'm soaking up every moment now, while looking towards the future at everything I am excited about for our little family of four.

Being a mom just keeps getting better.

Happy 1 Month, Sweet Baby A!
